Research Chemicals Cycloposine Molecular Structure

Research Chemicals Cycloposine Veratrum californicumCycloposine is a steroidal alkaloid isolated from the corn lily (Veratrum californicum) that grows wild in the mountains and deserts of Nevada and California.

Cycloposine is the glycoside of cyclopamine (Riet-Correa, 2011). Cycloposine, jervine and cyclopamine are three compounds identified in V. californicum that cause cyclopism in lambs whose mothers ingested the plant during pregnancy (Keeler 1968).

Aphios isolates and manufactures cycloposine utilizing near-critical and supercritical fluids using CXF and CXP enabling technology platforms followed by proprietary segmentation chromatography.

Biological Activity:

Certain biological properties of cycloposine are similar to those of cyclopamine.
